  • Stacey Uria

    Lead Instructor

Stacey found pilates about 13 years ago when she befriended a Pilates teacher who convinced her to try a private lesson. After her first lesson she knew that pilates was something very special. It was an amazing workout, but one that left her body feeling alive and capable, not overly sore and exhauseted. She kept going with private lessons and decided to trek into NYC (from Connecticut) to learn how to teach classical pilates with Romana Kryzanowska, her daughter Sari Megia Santo, her granddaighter Daria Pace and the rest of the incredible staff at True Pilates. She also trained with Brooke Slier at her studio re:AB and happily began teaching there. While at re:AB she attended workshops with Mari Winsor, Jay Grimes, and Alisa Wyatt to name a few. Fast forward a few years and Stacey had two babies which inspired her to delve into pre and postpartum pilates, pelvic floor strengthening and diastasis repair with Anne Martens, Julie Tupler and the MUTU system. She also loves TRX and recently attended a Functional Training workshop. Stacey loves to teach all kinds of clients, but has a soft spot for beginners and new Mamas. She is still fairly new to Asheville and SO excited to join the team at Club Pilates!

  • Courtney Webb

    Instructor

Courtney found her love of Pilates and saved her body while training at Beacon Pilates in Beacon New York. Courtney has lived all over the United States experiencing and learning in all areas she could. While growing up in Northern Georgia, She found a passion for basketball, softball, and track. In Florida, surfing, and kayaking, and in Oregon she added skiing and whitewater rafting to the list. With her love of sports, and a refusal to give any less, she suffered numerous injuries and a lifetime of pain. Many specialists, doctors, chiropractors, and physical therapists later, Courtney was finally diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos syndrome. Shortly after her diagnosis while living in New York she found her Hail Mary with Pilates and has been major injury free ever since. Courtney became a certified Pilates mat instructor in 2016 under Juliet Harvey of Beacon Pilates. During this training, Courtney met Kara Dillow who was studying under Juliet to get her teacher training certification. In early 2018 Courtney started her training under Kara to gain her comprehensive certification on all equipment. Courtney has a passion to teach and show people that Pilates can keep your body strong and stable, relieve chronic pain, and help reduce the risk of major injuries. Courtney has a background of varying educations and studies including but not limited to, Horticulture, Patisserie & Baking, Sustainabilities/ Environmental Biology, Painting, and Music. She also has dreams of playing rugby and roller derby, but knows thatʼs probably not one of her best ideas!

  • Sue Terrell

    Instructor

With over 25 years of experience in fitness and rehab. Starting approximately 25 years ago as a high impact aerobics instructor, followed by multiple other certifications and CECs over the years, teaching many different kinds of classes. While at a fitness convention approximately 18 years ago during a mat Pilates master class with June Kahn and Leslie Binder that I discovered the most challenging workout I had ever attempted. Not only did Pilates make huge sense from a rehab standpoint, but the challenge of developing the control of my mind and body required for Pilates was too overwhelming to ignore. That’s when my learning process and training began. My teaching style would be fairly athletic, with many modifications offered to assure safety and success for all. I love that CP makes Pilates available to so many.
